DIY: Natural Healthy Skin Toner

All natural do-it-yourself toner. Keep it in the fridge to prolong its optimal use time. These ingredients are suitable for any skin type, even sensitive skin (just don’t go crazy with the oils). Green tea base – good for antioxidants. Aloe vera – soothing and moisturizing for the skin You don’t have to use the rice if you don’t want to. If you have oily skin, you may want to skip the rice part. You can also replace the essential oils with any other essential oils that suit your needs. Oils that I used: – tea tree oil – lavender oil – rose hip oil those with oily skin should consider using grapefruit oil Shake it up really well before you use it each time. Additional notes: – most essential oils expire after a year (I’ve read that tea tree, on the other hand, gets stronger with age like wine) – it’s best to use distilled water to get the best effect from essential oils, not tap water Hope you try it and enjoy! Let me know how it went!

A great webpage that explains the difference between sodium laurel sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate & sodium coco sulfate is here: www.mnn.com From what I’ve gathered: “Sodium Coco Sulfate is a naturally derived alternative to Sodium Lauryl Sulfate in flake form. Sodium Coco Sulfate is derived from pure coconut oil. It can be used in a wide variety of personal care applications in which viscosity building and foam characteristics are of importance. The product formulates similar to synthetic alkyl sulfates, but is less defatting to the hair and skin. SCS being less soluble than synthetic alkyl sulfates leaves the skin and hair with a conditioned feel. It can be incorporated into shampoos, hand soaps, bath products, shaving creams and medicated ointments. It is especially useful for opaque, pearlescent, or cream products.” Beautiful, Heathy Skin Overview: 1. Rock your beautiful naked skin when you can 2. Hydrate with lots of water, fresh fruits and veggies 3. Supplements are important 4. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and WATER every night 5. Use a proper toner 6.
